What does the Future Hold for Social Media
In 2005, Flammer Relations made a decision to move toward online public relations. At the time I told several colleagues that I did not want to become a 40 year old dinosaur and that online was the wave of the future. Now, just 3 years later, it seems that others in the industry are echoing those thoughts.
There is a really interesting inteview with Craig Newmark, founder of craigslist.org in the latest issue of The Strategist (the national PRSA magazine). When asked about significant changes in social media he says. . ."connecting people online in ways that reflect how they connect in real life, but on a larger scale. . . youngsters are connecting all the time with messaging." He goes on to say that the younger generations have different views of privacy that older ones, citing that youngsters are using tools like Facebook on a daily basis.
To take your public relations messages online, contact Flammer Relations or mRELEVANCE. We create online strategies to connect companies with buyers via social media.
